Nelson opens the fight as the aggressor and Ouali is content to counter. Ouali does a good job of defending and answering Nelson’s punches. Nelson eats a counter left hook and goes down. Back on his feet after the restart, Nelson again fall victim to a quick combination of straight punches and hits the canvas a second time. Once restarted Oulai wastes no time smothering his opponent with punches for a third and final knockdown as referee Steve Smoger steps in and calls a halt to the bout.

Said doet goed zijn werk in de verdediging en antwoordt goed op Nelson's stoten. Nelson vreet enkele linkse hoeken en gaat neer. Nelson staat op en probeert het nog eens met de aanval. Een serie stoten van Said haalt Nelson weer neer. Said laat er geen gras over groeien en gaat op Nelson af met combinatie stoten dat Nelson er niet goed van wordt. Nelson gaat voor de derde keer neer en de scheids stopt de partij. TKO in de eerste ronde.
